Why Kids Rainbow is needed in Gaziantep?
Kids Rainbow was established in 2015 to provide various educational activities for Syrian refugee kids. The main ones are Turkish lessons aiming at facilitating children’s integration in Turkey and Arabic lessons to keep a bond with their country of origin.
Turkey hosts the highest number of children refugees in the world. Most of them are Syrians, but over 40% drop out of school. Many of them cannot enroll in Turkish public schools because of their social or physical conditions and end up working in the street or in vocational workshops. For this reason we offer them a safe place to build a better future.
